This is Olga with Frogwares, I have been following your comments for some time here (Google Translated) and decided to pop in with some words to say.
First of all, we do appreciate all the kind words of encouragement and support. Every opinion counts and we are really flattered to see that many of you like the game.
As for the game activation, I see different views here, and the ‘negative’ one prevailing. I do realize that no one likes it but this is a must for us.
Here is the correct info about the activation itself:

- You have 5 activations max possible at the same time. So you can install the game into 5 different computers simultaneously.
- If you uninstall the game properly (I mean the uninstaller provided by the game), you automatically recover the activation.
- After 91 days, one activation is automatically added (5 activations max).

For example, if I activate the game in September and at the end of September (so 3 activations left), in September +91 days I will regain 1 activation (so 4 activations left), in mid September +91 days I will regain 1 activation (so 5 activations left and I reach the limit, I can't have 6 activations).

Hope this will explain a bit that our activation is not THAT frightful! It has nothing to do with Frogwares existence, it will continue no matter what.

Now why we do it – we need this activation to protect ourselves. It is 8 days that the PC game is live and it was not yet cracked. I saw guys admitting that they HAD to buy the game because they wanted to play it so much on the torrent website (sounds a bit of an absurd, doesn’t it?).

I am not saying that we like it ourselves, it’s just the state of the Internet nowadays and we simply have to accept it, same like we accept extreme precautions at the airport ..

Ludwig liegt also richtig, so ganz verstehen kann ichs zwar immer noch nicht, aber egal.
Stellt sich eben die Frage, ob man auch noch in ein paar Jahren aktivieren kann oder ob dann die Server abgeschaltet sind. Aber vielleicht erscheint bis dahin auch noch ne Version ohne diesen Kopierschutz.

Boooaaahhhh, wenn ich das lese (das davor), wird mir ganz schwummerig. Gestern dachte ich, ich schaffe es nicht. P. hat sich dann dazu gesellt und gestellt und irgendwie sind wir dann zusammen weitergekommen. Labyrinthe jeder Art in Spielen sind eine elende Plage.
